At the moment Philmac's Bronco Sue, who is two, is mainly working on Conformation and Field events. I don't feel like I've given her enough of my time for formal training, but she is such a sponge for learning that she has picked up lots of training by just observing the training I have been doing with her mother. Lately, she has been competing with her mother, Ceilidh, for my attention and training time. She has completed level one of Sue Ailsby's training levels program The Book of Training Levels and is five behaviors away from completing level two. We are really loving this training program. It's so logical in it's progression.
Rideau's Copper Ceilidh, CD, CGC, who is Sue's mother, earned her obedience title at the age of two. During that time I had also been working her in Agility, Conformation and Field training. She is one leg away from two Agility titles and one major away from her conformation championship. So many different performance venues started to interfere with each other so I backed down to doing just Agility and Conformation for now. This has helped my little Canadian wonder dog to relax and enjoy working much more than she used to. I've also switched her completely to clicker/operant training methods. At the moment we are working our way through Cyber Agility
