Books

Recently, I purchased a book, about canine massage, so I've been practicing on my guys and on some very little Chihuahua/Yorkie mixes belonging to a friend of mine.  The difference between the reactions of my friend's little lapdogs and my Tollers is interesting.  While the Tollers are used to me helping them to stretch out their backs and legs, they don't really have the patience for sitting and getting an extended massage.  The lapdogs on the other hand lean into the massaging and will take as much as I can give them.

Another recent purchase, and one I highly recommend, is Sue Ailsby's eBook Training Levels, Steps to Success.  I like it so much I'm thinking about buying the two volume paperback version as well.  If you haven't checked out Sue's Levels program is a wonderfully laid out, step-by-step program for teaching your dog skills for being a good dog, as well as foundations for further dog sports activities. Sue is a good writer, and her style is practical, no-nonsense, and funny.  It is a welcome addition to my library.
