On Sunday, October 2nd, under the careful handling of Jerry Forster, Sue passed her WC at a test held in Jefferson, Oregon for the US Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club's National Specialty. Jerry did a wonderful job motivating the little punk into doing her job on land and in the water. I can't begin to describe how proud I was of both of them. Their hard work paid off beautifully.
Surprisingly, we also earned a leg in Rally Novice B with a 4th place finish. We met with Helix Fairweather who put us through a few runs prior to our entry time. This helped me to relax once I saw that Sue might actually be able to do the job and gave Sue some much needed practice close to entry time. With Helix's help we were able to get in the ring and have a great time.
