The Girls' First Real Duck Hunt

This morning the girls and I got to go on our first real duck hunt...I've worked really hard to correct a gunshyness problem with Ceilidh and finally all of that training got tested in a real hunting situation. After some hesitation about the flapping of the birds, Ceilidh did really well on the shot flyers and even chased down a wounded bird. Sue worked pretty well also and had a blast out there although after the first bird she decided to avoid the cold water and help with retrieving from shore.

The guys who graciously allowed us to tag along on their hunt seemed to think the girls didn't do too badly for their first real hunt. They pinned their marks, didn't shy away from the guns, and worked pretty well for novices.
